One Year Grant
One year is taken to be 12 months, not an academic year. During the 12 months of the fellowship, fellows may not return to the U.S. or their home country if they are foreign nationals. Fellowship funds are released in early to mid-June. Fellows must begin their year no later than August 1 and return in time to attend the Returning Fellows Conference.
